This is a sweet Tanzanian coffee that captivates the palate with high-toned flavors and complex sweetness across various roast levels. This coffee is an excellent value, offering a cup profile reminiscent of moderately bright Kenyan coffees at a more attractive price. Ground coffee releases notes of raw sugars and buttery caramel, reminiscent of praline nuts, accented with a hint of citrus. The wet aroma showcases a potent sweetness, leaning more towards raw sugars than fruits. At City and City+ roasts, the cup delivers a supportive underlying sweetness, malty like brown ale, with a touch of spice and bright citrus notes. City roasts are particularly vibrant, presenting some bittering aftertaste that hints at grapefruit and tannic tea. Brightness shines in City and City+ roasts, while Full City roasts offer impressive results as well, with sweetness persisting and notes of toasted cacao and dark chocolate-covered coconut emerging.
